Nicole was appointed as On Screen Manitoba’s Executive Director in 2010 and has worked in the arts and cultural sector all of her career, holding management positions in communications, development, programming, government relations and public engagement for over 20 years.

First in Montreal in the dance community and on contract for the National Film Board of Canada, upon returning to Winnipeg in 1996, she founded and led Freeze Frame Media Arts Centre for Young People with its annual international film festival for 12 years. More recently, Nicole was the Cultural Industries Consultant for Sport, Culture & Heritage Manitoba and in 2010 was the Project Manager for Manitoba Culture Days.

Nicole has an MA in Media Studies from Concordia University and as an active volunteer, Nicole sits on a variety of local and national committees and juries. She is a founding member and treasurer of Manitobans for the Arts, a board member of the Franco-Manitoban Cultural Centre, co-chair of the Board of Culture Days /Nuit Blanche Winnipeg and co-founder and Chair of the Board of Freeze Frame Media Arts Centre for Young People.
